Shokage

THE FIVE

Chapter 1:

Waking up to a violent storm, I approach the window and see the shadows swaying. I hear the whispering in the wind deep in my bones I can feel a darkness starting to brew. I turn toward the love of my life that has always been at my side. Another monster to his grave and another life I will save… Fog rises and falls spreading around the streets blinding, making it hard to see your own hand in front of you, but makes me a nightmare to demons like those out tonight. Locking up the house keeping my heart safe and secure I turn to look one more time. A kiss between her eyes one last hug just in case I don’t return home… I step out into the world of pain I can feel the fear and hear the mad laughter of criminals. So I grin and run toward where my blade guides me on tonight! Moving through the thick fog I sense rage and it’s pulling me right to it. I scale the wall jump to the tree up to where it’s dark and hard to see me. Quietly I move closer and see a girl surrounded by five men as I climb lower I can now see the expression of fear and the look on theirs is of hate and lust. Right next to them holding my breath and gripping my sword of justice. I unsheathe it slowly and carefully in shadow steps. I place my Hand over his mouth I slide my blade across his throat inserting my fingers inside ripping out a souvenir…I quickly throw my knives to another as I run to impale my blade into the back of the third man separating his spine , Two men left and they have been too busy wrestling with her to notice the smell of death. And to gone to sense the terror! Clock is ticking darkness is starting to fade into light I run up to them, and hearing my footsteps they charge at me. So I yell to catch them off balance with a war cry! I twist their hate into the same fear the victim is cloaked in, with my final phrase “DEMONS RETURN TO HELL”! I draw my sword and with all my might and rage I sever one head. Breaking my blade! Stuck halfway into the neck of the last of the five. The worst one the instigator so he deserves to die a slow painful death so I give him the other half of the sword ,I help the girl up and walked her home, along the way I’m collecting my weapons and now I see their faces in my mind I grin for the satisfaction the job well done. Outside the gate to my home, I walk on the steps, my bride to be waiting with open arms. And tears in her eyes and a grin like mine … “Justice may be blind, but justice does not go undone”
